MIAMI, FL – September 1, 2020 – Physical medicine and rehabilitation physician Christine Villoch, M.D., FAAPMR, has joined Miami Neuroscience Institute’s Spine Center. Dr. Villoch specializes in spine and musculoskeletal rehabilitation, fluoroscopic-guided injections, sports medicine and pain management. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

Dr. Villoch joined Baptist Health South Florida from Loyola University Medical Center, where she served as the medical director of outpatient rehabilitation services. She previously worked for Baptist Health from 2013 to 2018.

“We are pleased to welcome Dr. Villoch,” said Michael McDermott, M.D., chief medical executive at Miami Neuroscience Institute. “She will be a wonderful addition to our multidisciplinary team of experts who collaborate to provide patients with a holistic, multidimensional approach to care.”

Dr. Villoch chose a career in medicine because she genuinely enjoys helping and connecting with patients. Through clear communication, Dr. Villoch’s goal is to educate her patients on their injuries and how to manage them.

“We are delighted to welcome Dr. Villoch back to Baptist Health,” said Ronald Tolchin, D.O., director of Miami Neuroscience Institute’s Spine Center. “Her approach to patient care and extensive training in interventional spine physiatry will make her a valued member of our team.”

In addition to her medical degree, Dr. Villoch holds a Master of Science in medical informatics from Northwestern University. During her residency at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago, she received the Scholl Recognition Award for Rehabilitation Research. She was also recognized with the Meyer S. Gunther Award, presented to the second-year resident who best displayed the art of listening, understanding and interacting with patients.

Dr. Villoch is fluent in English and Spanish. She sees patients at two locations: 6200 Sunset Drive, Suite 130, in South Miami Hospital’s Medical Arts Building; and 8950 North Kendall Drive, Suite 410W, in Baptist Hospital’s Medical Arts Building.
