Karisa Falden, D.O., joins Baptist Health South Florida as a Family Medicine Physician

MIAMI, FL – September 23, 2021 – Karisa Falden, D.O., joins Baptist Health South Florida as a family medicine physician. Dr. Falden specializes in women’s health, mental health, preventive medicine and holistic care. She also provides outpatient procedures like sutures, cryotherapy, skin biopsies, joint injections and colposcopies. She is fluent in English and basic Spanish.

Dr. Falden joins Baptist Health South Florida from AMITA Health Saint Joseph Hospital Chicago, where she served as executive chief resident and chair of the hospital’s Wellness Committee.

During her residency, Dr. Falden earned a top-three spot for her research case presentation project on a rare pediatric leukemia. During medical school, she was named president of the American Medical Association – Medical Student Section, which is the largest association of physicians in the United States. She also holds a master’s degree in biomedical sciences from Midwestern University.

Dr. Falden earned her medical degree from Midwestern University’s Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed a family medicine residency at AMITA Health Saint Joseph Hospital Chicago.

She will see patients at 5701 Overseas Highway, Suite 17, in Marathon and 91550 Overseas Highway, Suite 215, in Tavernier.
